Visit to High Point University.....

Drew
I really did take this photo.
The personal touch.
I have so many thoughts going through my head about our adventure today. We were excited to have the opportunity to visit High Point University on a Sunday. This is the only university I have seen that offers Sunday admission tours. Our appointment was scheduled for 1pm and we dropped Mariah off and headed towards High Point, furniture capital of the world. Arriving in High Point did not present a community that I had imagined. This is an area of North Carolina that has suffered much from the down spiral of the economy with so many industries having to close and or downsize. We were using a GPS but in my world it is not a navigation system it a annoying system and I decided to make my on directions and went a round about way to the school. We made it there and were in fact extra early. Entering the security gate with not one but 2 security attendants was interesting and brought 2 thoughts to mind for me 1. this is great safety precaution for student and staff  2. Why is there so much security for a college campus I have never seen this much security on a college campus except in 3rd world countries....are there lots of bad people here??
We were directed to the parking space with a digital sign that said Drew's name and the city we are from. So what are my thought about High Point University..
Beautiful

So you may ask what did Drew think? I know that he was impressed and said he would consider putting it on his list. I am learning so much about Drew on this journey to college. So happy to have toured HPU and  left there speechless.
