The Weather Outside is FRIGHTFUL.....

And I don't want to leave the house. How did it happen that we woke this morning to single digit weather and a 2 hour school delay. Well I guess we can just say stuff happens. I started my morning making sure Mariah was prepared for school with lunch and books and all that goes into that. I then turned my attention to Drew because he was leaving for school at 11am so I baked him some cookies and made sure he had tickets. prescriptions and supplies. He was on his way and I noticed he left his dress coat up stairs in his closet and I had to make them turn around and come back I just couldn't feel like a responsible parent letting him leave it he gave me a little grief but his friend insisted they turn around and as I pulled the trash can in just a bit ago my hand was freezing and now it is completely aching so we ALL need to bundle up and stay warm. Tomorrow is the first day of a new semester of teaching at Duke and I am excited to meet new students and see ones from the past. Looking forward to warmer weather, hope its warm in your part of the world.
