Friday Night Lights....

The ride.
Huddle

Lets get this game started.

Ready for the rebound.
9 guys and Coach Ross.
The one and only #34 Drew Daffron
So much fun. Hit the road this afternoon at 1ish and arrived early in Roanoke VA got a drink walked through the store called Kohl's and didn't purchase a thing and then headed to the school where the VES Bishops were playing Faith Christian Academy. We lost and I don't exactly remember the score but I cheered or maybe the opposing fans would say yelled and shouted and twisted my body in all different shapes and forms but hey thats the way I roll. Truly an animated fan. The drive was long almost 3 hours there and then 3 hours home. So worth it for me to see my guy play the first game of the season and have Bojangles meal with his team. The coach seems super awesome he has been at VES for 30 years. Loved chatting with him if only for a few minutes. Here are a few pictures from my Friday Night Lights adventure.

From one illness to the next.

I think I am over my shingles but I have caught some nasty cough. I may be at the end of it but it has lasted for to long. One week for sure. I was fortunate to have Doug teach for me yesterday and today so that I could not go to Duke and spread my coughing germs. Doug said I hardly ever cover my mouth and my germs are flying at least 12 feet. I feel like some alien has taken over my body when I need to cough and I can only think of getting it out so lest my dramatic coughing drama. As I type this I am sending germs all the way across the room to the beautiful Christmas tree. Sorry tree I just happens.
I loved Thanksgiving and the break that came along with it. Having Drew home was amazing and spending time with him was great. He did alot of hanging with friends and his girlfriend but I have to remind myself he is a teenager and that's what healthy teens enjoy doing. I remember always wanting to be on the go when I was a teenager and always planning the next awesome adventure and escape. Saying goodbye yesterday was sad but I only let myself be sad for a few minutes because he is soaring in school and sending him away to prep school has matured him in so many ways. Drew will have his first basketball game this Friday night in Hurt Virginia, its about 2 hours from us so I will make the trip so that I can cheer the Bishops on to what I hope is a first game victory.
Mariah is back in the gym after having a week break for Thanksgiving which is good because she seems to have recovered from her ear infection, blister on her hand and gymnastic burn out in general.
What can I say about Doug ----The best partner any girl could ever ask for. BLESSED

Thanksgiving

I am so thankful for my wonderful family. God has blessed us in so many ways. We spent Thanksgiving day with our family and a group of friends. Yuriy, Oksana, Sasha, Norm, Jan, Jade, Starr and brother Larry. We had a great meal, watched some football, played a bit of a game of cash flow while Starr and Mariah were jumping on the trampline, playing with dolls, riding the razor and having a wonderful time together. Jade and Drew played some video games and got to catch up. Thankful for so many things.
