Drew had a great visit at Virginia Episcopal School and will be attending in fall. Drew will complete his junior and senior year at VES and prepare for college. As I type this I truly have mixed feeling about his departure and what that means for us as a family. VES is in Lynchburg Virginia and is a 2 hour and 30 minute drive from Durham so I will get some serious driving time in. Check VES out on the web it truly is an awesome school and we are so proud that Drew has received a generous merit scholarship and other financial grants. We have amazing kids and are truly enjoying our JOURNEY with them!

As I sit in my hotel room alone and oh so comfy in the soft, crisp bed I wanted to see what I could do with our blog and boy oh boy was I stunned when I saw that I had NOT posted since JANUARY...I suck and will not have to shop for a new dress to wear to the mother of the year awards but I want to see if I can put a few pictures and a few thoughts.
January brought lots of basketball practice, gymnastics practice and cheerleading practice and along with all this practice we had games and more games and meets and more meets. I would say that Drew did an awesome job as a sophomore playing on the varsity team and got some great buckets and was a great team player...love that guy. Mariah has come so far with her skills and she is flipping and flying and making great progress she ended the season as a STATE CHAMPION on BARS and overcame her fight to stay on the beam and score a 9.0 she was awesome our goal is to just keep her healthy and injury free. She is currently struggling with a back injury so we are planing her PT sessions.
Doug is in school and is learning so much and will soon finish classes and then prepare for the national exam but he is the smartest guy ever and has been a great student.
Yesterday was my last day of class and now I am offically on summer break. I taught 5 classes this term and dont plan to do that again in the future but I loved my students and had a great smester.
I currently sitting in Lynchburg Virginia and dropped Drew at Virginia Episcopal School today at 3pm for a admitted student visit so that he can sleep, eat, play, study, talk, rub, kick, run, jump, write, sing, wash and experience VES so that he may decide if this is the school he would like to attend for his junior and senior years of high school. Drew has had several options and was awarded a very nice merit scholarship from VES. I will have to let you know what he decides the next time I blog.
